How do I send a card?

Open a conversation in Messages, tap the apps row, and choose Scratch that. Write a line (or shuffle one), optionally seal or add a photo, and send. It arrives as a silver card your recipient scratches open.

How does my recipient open it?

They scratch the silver foil with a thumb, right inside the conversation, and the message reveals. If they don't have Scratch that yet, the card links them here to get it.

What is a sealed card?

A card you lock until a moment you choose — tonight, a birthday, an exact time. It arrives right away, but the foil won't scratch open until then. The conversation shows a small seal until the moment arrives.

What about photos?

You can hide a photo behind the foil. It's encrypted on your phone before it's sent, only your recipient can open it, and the cloud copy is deleted within 30 days. Photos are added from the Messages app, one per card.

I need to report a photo.

Open the card and use the report control inside it. The encrypted record is flagged for removal. You can also email us at the address above.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone on iOS 17.6 or later, sent and opened inside iMessage. Sending a photo requires being signed into iCloud.
